“The best way to know how someone lives is to live with them,” Traditional Home writes in a story in its Winter 2023 issue about a design-build collaboration in Jackson Hole among JLF Architects, builder Big-D Signature and interior design firm WRJ Design. Indeed, when a family opted to build a full-time residence in Jackson Hole, JLF’s Logan Leachman with WRJ’s Rush Jenkins and Klaus Baer literally moved into their Virginia home for a few days “to see the insights and slight nuances that we wouldn’t get otherwise.” Back in Jackson, Leachman oriented the new house to take in the “visual impact” of southern Teton views, writes the magazine, and sourced reclaimed dark-stained wood for use on the exterior as a connection to the Tennessee and Kentucky farm buildings reminiscent of the family’s historical roots.
