“During a time of budget cuts and ever-increasing visitation, some say America’s national parks are being ‘loved to death,’” writes Mountain Living in its May/June issue. Yellowstone drew almost five million visitors in 2025, making the consistent support received from its nonprofit partner, Yellowstone Forever, invaluable. JLF founder emeritus Paul Bertelli and Jillian Bowers Bertelli have been involved with the organization for decades. So when time came to renovate the nonprofit’s formerly dark, warren-like offices, JLF led a design charette pro bono, then the Bertellis donated their time and expertise to bringing the remarkable new headquarters—lighter, brighter, and clearly connected to the wild outdoor world that is its mission—to life. That mission “is evident from the moment one steps inside, where a spectacular color-rich photograph extend from floor to ceiling and across two walls,” writes ML.
