Western Art & Architecture honored JLF Architects’ new book Foundations with a coveted spot on the magazine’s “Things We Love” list, calling out writer Seabring Davis and photographer Audrey Hall for praise and JLF Architects with construction collaborator Big-D Signature for sustainable practices and sensitivity to the land. “More than 40 years since its founding, the firm continues to work in partnership with the land through environmentally responsible, artful designs,” the magazine writes. “Summing up their steadfast philosophy in these beautiful pages, the firm proposes: ‘Nature is perfect. So, when we design a house, looking to regionality, craft, and belonging are key to our approach so that the dwelling won’t be a scar on the landscape, but instead will act as something that honors it.”
