“Laura Ingalls Wilder never had it this good,” writes Mountain Living in a feature home story about a Yellowstone Club home crafted by JLF Architects and OSM Construction for a couple splitting their time between Europe and Montana. “From the outset, the homeowners embraced [Paul] Bertelli’s notion of a cabin in the woods, and rather than one outside the 7,500-square-foot residence, the architect introduced three more approachable components all linked by reclaimed materials … Outside, details like multiple rooflines create the feel of an original structure added onto through the years and generations, and inside, the texture of hand-hewn beams that span the living area ceiling reinforce that idea.
